Learning Outcome 4

While peer reviewing, I try to make suggestions on things that are unclear or needs improvement. On the third peer review, I highlighted sentences that could’ve been in different body paragraphs and what could’ve been added in the introduction to make it more complete. I mention to add quotes to support claims, main points, and thesis. I noted how some contexts in the paragraphs needed more description so the whole idea can be discovered by the reader. I also stated how the writer needs more of their own opinions to really make the argument of the paper. With the second peer review, I stated to broadly introduce who the author your quoting is, then introduce to the quote. I would also mention a possible different way to set up a sentence to have a better flow to it. Same with the other peer review I’m going to mention, I commented on how some sentences could be made into claims or simply placed in a different paragraph. At the end of peer reviewing, our professor would make us write an endnote, summing up what we touched up on. I would also include positive things about the essay because not everything about an essay needs to fixed. Giving compliments on someone’s work can boost their confidence in writing and make them want to fix their mistakes. The endnote works perfectly because it tells someone exactly what to focus on to make their final draft perfect as can be.
